I have created this site, so that I can pay my respects to the thousands of brave men who both served and perished in the War. I also want to share my passion for collecting memorabilia from the German Kriegsmarine.
I have been fascinated by U-boats for as long as I can remember. Visiting the Historic War Museum at Birkenhead was always on my 'to do' list. Stepping inside the U-534 was like stepping into a time capsule. You could just smell the history! Unfortunately, the tour at the Warship museum closed down, but the U-534 now has a new secure and exciting future! You can follow the progress by clicking on the U-534 link. This will be updated on a regular basis. Anyone who is interested in Naval history should pay her a visit when the new visitor and exhibition centre is open in the summer of 2008. Visiting the other WW2 U-boats, which are dotted around the Globe has also got to be a must.. Not to mention learning to dive and doing a little wreck diving! Perhaps one day..
Whilst collecting I always try to find items that are related to U-boats, but I'm always more than happy to add any items to my collection that are related to the Kriegsmarine. I have added a 'wanted' section to the site, please have a look through. If you have anything that I'm after, or you have something that you think I might like.. Please get in touch!
Please browse through at your leisure. I would welcome any questions or comments that you may have. |
