ARG-1 (Astronomisches Rechengerät 1) Celestial Computer by Carl Zeiss Jena (blc). A late War issued, extremely accurate Navigational instrument. This was actually a Luftwaffe issued piece, but was adopted by the U-bootwafe. The lower body is of bakelite construction and the upper is painted aluminum. The instrument has an illuminated glass screen, azimuth and microscope eyepiece with adjustable cross hairs. A scarce piece.

Einheitsdichtigkeitsmesser Salinity tester. Mint unused tester, dated 1936. These where used on U-boats to check the water density. Complete with instructions and can with original litmus paper strips. Has Reichmarine Eagle stamping.

Porthole I actually purchased this as an S-boot Porthole, but it is slightly larger than the S-boot version. It is the exact size and style of similar known Minesweeper portholes. When purchased, it was covered in thick paint as it has been used Post War. Cleaning it up revealed some markings and stampings. Written on the frame section are the words: 'ELTZ' 'GALMG5' 'DIN HNA 250' and on the hinge of the window section 'R12'. Perhaps the R12 refers to R-boot (Minenräumboot). Some R-boots were produced pre-War and could explain the lack of an Offical Stamp. The Porthole is constructed in aluminium and the diameter is approx 37cm.

Albert Nestler Rechenschieber 'Kiel' Slide Rule. This is virtually identical to the version in the Gallery, but this is without the Eagle and Marineschule wording. Still carries the Deutsches Reich Patent. Good condition, but has been used. Box is taped and a little worn.
